In an ongoing survey of global manufacturers, process experts were asked: Can Craftsmanship and Automation co-exist in a process? 87% say yes.

More importantly, 60% fervently reserve a place for craftsmanship in their process. But the market doesn't yet agree on why.

  • 11% say that any human role in a process introduces a risk of poor quality
  • 23% say that skilled people enable flexibility -- making it possible to respond quickly to new customer demands
  • 66% say that craftspeople make automation better, offering insights like these:
    • "Craftsmanship leads to quality"
    • "Craftsmanship refines automation"
    • "Human eye gives the difference"
